'Grasal' is located on Mt Napier Road, level with the picturesque Mt Napier itself. It is approximately 16km south of Hamilton.
Most of this unique area is under a conservation covenant to protect remnant vegetation. It is classed as ‘Stoney Rises Woodland’ (VVP EVC203) though the property drops down onto the actual Buckley Swamp peat flats.
Herbacious weeds, have unfortunatly invaded this special property. Volunteers will have the opportunity to help improve the native biodiversity by carrying out weed control activities.
