Would you like some on-ground experience in a large scale revegetation project?

Do you want to learn practical planning and weed treatment skills?

Conservation Volunteers Australia is seeking 4 - 5 reliable volunteers to assist with spacing out plant locations and spraying off weeds around the markers in preparation for a large planting project. There will also be some hand removal of weeds in sensitive areas.

You will recieve practical instruction in correct chemical use techniques including weed ID, PPE use, mixing of herbicide and  application with backpack sprayers.

We will provide transport from South Geelong each day, departing at 8.15am and returning around 4pm. Or if you live local you can meet on-site by prior arrangement.

What to wear:

  • Long pants and long sleeved shirt
  • Sturdy, enclosed shoes


What to bring:

  • Lunch and bottle of water
  • Broad brimmed hat and wet weather gear (if needed)


What is provided:

  • Tools and safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, sunscreen etc
  • Tea, Coffee and Biscuits are provided each day
  • Pick up and drop off as detailed above
