More than 50 bird species have been recorded in the foreshore area which includes Chestnut Teal, Pacific Black Duck, Rainbow Lorikeet and Crimson Rosellas.
The activities for the day will be based around Elwood and Point Ormond, and will consist of planting, watering of plants, litter collection and hand weeding.
