Join Conservation Volunteers on the ReefClean project and help prevent marine debris entering the Great Barrier Reef! Launched in early 2019, the project aims to remove and prevent marine debris along the Great Barrier Reef region through to 2023. During this monitoring event you’ll be helping clean our beautiful beaches whilst also gathering important information for the Australian Marine Debris Initiative, assisting our magnificent oceans in two big ways! We’ll be holding six clean up/monitoring events in the Burnett Mary region in March 2020. Events will run for approximately three-four hours. General rubbish, micro plastics and quarterly site monitoring will be undertaken. All help is appreciated to carry out this important project.
No experience required. Meet the team leader on site where all instructions and necessary equipment will be provided. By joining a ReefClean event you can help our beautiful marine life, meet like-minded people and reduce marine debris!
