The Australian Microplastic Assessment Project (AUSMAP), and Tangaroa Blue are both undertaking extensive analysis of pollution and the effect of plastics into the marine environment along Australian shorelines. There is still much that we don’t know about microplastics and citizen science provides a unique opportunity to gather large amounts of data that can be analysed, mapped and made available for further research and study.
Join CVA and help us to collect marine debris and microplastics at Redcliffe to record important scientific data for AUSMAP and Tangaroa Blue and prevent harmful materials from being consumed by/entangling our marine life.
CVA, AUSMAP and Tangaroa Blue would like to thank the Queensland Government's Department of Environment and Science for funding this project through their Queensland Citizen Science Grant.
CVA Brisbane now has a scheme ID with Containers for Change QLD. You can choose to donate to CVA directly via our scheme ID C10181048 when returning containers at any refund point or you can leave your empties at our office at 333 Bennetts Road, Morningside.
