Marathon Farm is an historic Tasmanian property that neighbours Patterdale where the famous colonial artist John Glover lived. It is a beautiful property that evokes emotions of the Austarlian bush. We will be helping to improve the native vegetation of the property by removing gorse and resurrecting a riparian fence. Tasks include using hand loppers to cut away gorse branches and hand-saws to cut off gorse trunks. Some herbicide will be applied to the cut trunks to kill the root system. The fencing tasks are relatively simple and together with your Team Leader and Andrew the property owner, you will be coached along to help re-build a fenceline.
