Are you interested in mapping vegetation? Come join us to learn how!
Conservation Volunteers Australia is out at the Kommo Toera trail in North Mackay mapping the vegetation. We will be identifying the weeds and using a GPS to map their location. This information will be put together to form a map of the different vegetation communities within the Kommo Toera trail - a very useful management tool!
Conservation Volunteers Australia are looking for people passionate about making a difference in the environment and able to lend a hand, no previous experience necessary.
Volunteers need to bring and wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, boots or sturdy shoes, and a broad-brimmed hat. It is also recommended that volunteers bring and use sun-screen (30+) and tropical-strength insect repellent.
Hope to see you there!
