Manaaki Mai in Purau, Whakaraupo / Lyttelton Harbour encompasses volcanic bluffs, native forest, and silver tussocks, all of which have inherent natural value from providing habitat for organisms to encouraging further regeneration of native plants in the area.
Join our Kaimahi for nature team for a morning planting alongside the kaitiaki/guardians of this beautiful part of the harbour.
Time: 9:30am arrival for planting from 10am-1pm
Location: Manaaki Mai, 99 Port Levy Rd, Purau
Bring: Your own gardening gloves, sturdy boots or shoes, a water bottle and warm clothing.
We’ll supply tools, but you are welcome to bring your own.
