Come and join the team as they help preserve and rehabilitate the beautiful coastal areas of Hervey Bay, alongside the Lower Mary River Catchment Group. Our team will be preventing invasive weed species from taking over newly regenerated coastal areas by planting trees and donut mulching around native tree species. This site is adjacent to the Great Sandy Marine Park and you will be within driving distance to lookouts and also a short stroll from the Urangan Pier for a beautiful walk at sunset.
*** PLEASE NOTE*** A student discount is available for full time students which brings the complete cost to $120 (this covers all food, accommodation and transport). Volunteers who can make their way to and from the project each day can join in for free as a walk-in-volunteer for either single or multiple days.
