Pipemakers Park is an eight-hectare reserve located on Van Ness Avenue along the Maribyrnong River. The location is of national historic, social and architectural significance with some of the oldest and most substantial early industrial structures associated with technological innovations in manufacturing. Now transformed into an urban parkland, from 1848 to 1974 Pipemakers Park was home to boiling down works, meat preservation and export facilities, a quarry, and finally the Hume Pipe Company for which it is named. The historic bluestone factories have been refurbished for community use, and parks include dense bushland, winding pathways and a wetland.

Volunteer activities may include planting, weeding, litter collection & trail maintenance.

All volunteers should bring a packed lunch, water and a hat. All volunteers must wear long sleeved shirts and pants as well as sterdy, closed-toe shoes.
