- Parks Victoria Office, Yarra Bend Road, Fairfield
- Departure time:
Yarra Bend Park is the largest area of native vegetation in inner Melbourne with diverse landscapes ranging from steep river escarpments to open woodlands. By participating in conservation and land management activities in this park will directly impact the 13 threatened fauna species and 7 threatened flora species including the Grey Headed Flying Foxes that make Yarra Bend Park their home.
The focus of the project will be on habitat restoration that may include spreading mulch, removing invasive weed species and pruning of shrubs. These activities aim to protect and enhance the habitat for a large number of species that live in Yarra Bend Park due to its wildlife corridors and biodiversity links.
