The Highbury Aqueduct Reserve was first opened in 2013 when an 8 ha trail was created for the public. Since then the reserve now holds more than 24 ha of walking trails and has become very popular with local residents for walking, riding, gardening, exercising and conservation.

Join our volunteer team at this important urban biodiversity corridor to assist with the creation of new trail linkages, which will connect communities to open spaces. These will create greater access for both walkers and riders to the reserve adjacent to the River Torrens, allowing more members of the public to explore the brilliant Highbury Aqueduct.

Taking part in one of our projects will provide a wonderful insight into the efforts that are required for the establishment and maintenance of walking trails. We may also spot Koalas, Echidnas and Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo’s.

Come along and discover this special part of Adelaide that many people do not even know exists!

Project starts in August.

PLEASE NOTE: It is also possible to meet on-site if that is easier for you, but please contact the office so we can confirm the exact meeting location and time.
