A new, state-of-the-art wetland is being constructed on the outskirts of Morwell to clean stormwater running through the industrial area before it enters Waterhole Creek. We are turning bare paddocks into a thriving ecosystem, providing habitat for waterbirds, frogs, fish, reptiles and insects. Walking tracks will allow the community to use the site for recreational and educational purposes. Further downstream, we will be revegetating the banks of Waterhole Creek to improve soil stability, wildlife habitat and visual appeal. Thousands of water plants, shrubs and trees need to go in the ground, and to make this happen, we need your help!
