Laceys Creek is located on the North East of Brisbane in D'Aguilar National Park and is made up of Eucalyptus woodlands and sub-tropical rainforest. This entire region provides critical habitat to a variety of threatened species which includes koalas, platypus, quolls and black-breasted button quails. Come and join the team as we remove invasive weeds and plant trees to convert this previously commercial, rural property back to wildlife habitat of a standard acceptable to QLD Parks and Wildlife Service. This project is a great way to network and gain hands on skills for a career in conservation while making a real difference to our environment.
*** PLEASE NOTE*** A student discount is available for full time students which brings the complete cost to $120 (this covers all food, accommodation and transport). Volunteers who can make their way to and from the project each day can join in for free as a walk-in-volunteer for either single or multiple days. If you would like to use a student discount or join in as a walk-in-volunteer please contact our office at mrichardson@cva.org.au or call us on 3399 5761.
