La Trobe Wildlife Sanctuary used to be cleared land for farming and recreation. Over a period of over 50 years volunteers have been restoring the sanctuary, and it is now home to wild kangaroos, possums and lots of birds, including those that live in wetlands, burrow nests in the ground, and birds of prey!
Activities include a mix of revegetation, weed control, fencing, helping in the native plant nursery, seed collection and more. Your help will improve the environment for native animals to call the sanctuary home!
This project is great for bird watchers and animal lovers.
