Join the team as we work with the South Burnett Regional Council to build gabion baskets to prevent erosion. On the site of erosion control, an extremely rare tree species (Phebalium distans) is found and we will aid in this species protection. For this week you will learn valuable construction skills, learn basic natural resource management and meet people from all over the world! Sign up now to save your spot and come along with the team for the week! A fee of $208 is required from each volunteer* to cover basic project costs. Student discounts available for full time students!
*** PLEASE NOTE*** A student discount is available for full time students which brings the complete cost to $120 (this covers all food, accommodation and transport). Volunteers who can make their way to and from the project each day can join in for free as a walk-in-volunteer for either single or multiple days. If you would like to use a student discount or join in as a walk-in-volunteer please contact our office at brisbane@cva.org.au or call us on 3399 5761.
