Karoola Wetlands is situated on the edge of the Hunter River. It plays an important role in the catchment system by catching and filtering runoff into the Hunter River. It is also an important historical habitat for a number of endangered and threatened species. Karoola Wetlands also has a huge potential for sustainable recreational use by the local community. Be a part of reviving Karoola Wetlands and help realise the vision of providing a new and exciting recreational space for the people of Muswellbrook Shire. You will join a team of likeminded people in gaining practical onground conservation and land management skills while providing real environmental and community benefits.
