Kamarooka Wheel Cactus Removal
Join your Conservation Volunteers team at Kamarooka in regional Victoria.
Your team will be assisting Loddon Plains Landcare Network in helping to revegetate this beautiful landscape.
Part of the revegetation effort will include follow up watering of the precious seedlings we have planted to allow them to get through the blazing summer of central and northern Victoria.
Kamarooka is a rural district about 35 km north of Bendigo. It was named after a pastoral run of about 80,900 ha taken up by Myles Patterson in 1857. The run was on the Bendigo or Piccaninny Creek, and its original name was the Piccaninny Creek Station. The new name Kamarooka, is thought to be derived from an Aboriginal word meaning wait a while.
