Just off the Mt Dandenong Tourist Road is Kalorama Park, a very pleasant 22-ha reserve on the eastern slopes of the Dandenongs. This land was purchased from the Jeeves family who were among the first European settlers in the area. There are picnic facilities, free gas barbecues and walking trails which lead through open country and mountain ash forest.
