The Jay Street Nursery was established to provide a sustainable source of local native plants for planting by volunteer groups in north Wellington, and to educate local people in the propagation of native plants and the role of plants and planting in improving our social and natural environments. Lend a hand at this fantastic community project - tasks include propagating plants, weeding and mulching.
We provide: an experienced team leader, tools, gloves, health and safety management and training. Free transport available - get in touch to book a seat as places are limited!
What to wear/bring: sturdy boots, long sleeves and pants, a hat/beanie, waterproof jacket, water bottle and food.
