Huntsbury Reserve is in the Port Hills to the South East of the city. It is managed by the Port Hills Rangers. Huntsbury Reserve runs from the base of the Port Hills in Cashmere up to the Summit Road. It is the access to a popular mountain biking area in Victoria Park, and has several walking and running trails.
Over the past few years areas of the Reserve have been planted in natives, by the Rangers with help from groups of volunteers. We’ll be removing plant guards from a stand of kanuka.
Note that the site is steep and there is a 10-minute walk to get there.
We provide: tools, gloves, morning tea and a friendly team leader. Please wear sturdy shoes or boots, appropriate clothing and bring a water bottle.
We'd love to see you there, so please register below. Contact Donna (dlusby@cvnz.org.nz) 021 457 568 for more information.
