Activities support threatened species such as migratory shorebirds and Green and Golden Bell Frog.
During 2020:
We will be assisting National Parks to establish a new roosting area for migratory shorebirds by helping remove a stand of mangroves - contractors will cut down the largest mangroves.
We will stop juvenile mangroves from spreading into endangered saltmarsh habitat needed by shorebirds and prawns and other crustaceans.
There will be a number of planting projects to increase biodiversity and also continue the new Green and Golden Bell Frog corridor.
Volunteers can meet on the various sites or we pick up at Broadmeadow Station at 8-8:15am and return no later than 4om week days or 2:30pm on weekends.
