Conservation Volunteers have been partnering up with Howard Springs Primary school for several years to engage students in regular conservation activities. We have previously helped to build drought proof planting boxes known as 'Wicking Beds' out of recycled fridges. Students learned how to create an edible or flower garden bed by filling the boxes with soil and planting seeds of their choice.
During this project volunteers will be engaging with students at a rural Primary School to construct a 'nature play area'. Activities will include building pathways, planting native flora and designing an outdoor area for students to play in.
With your help, we can create a bright, sustainable future for students. Volunteers will learn craftsmanship skills, assist educating students on sustainability and outdoor themes.
