Willows are an invasive species that colonise and choke up our waterways out competing native species. Help us as we assist the Molonglo Catchment Group with their Willow Control program along Captains Flat Creek. The activity will involve helping to remove willow debris from the control program out of the flood plain. If left, there the willow debris can float downstream lodge in a river bank and grow again. It can also damage important infrastructure like flood gates and bridges.
Come along and help us to control this invasive pest!
