This little reserve, located in Hawkesdale, is in need of help! We are trying to increase the biodiversity of native flora and fauna by treating some environmental weeds. These weeds, such as sweet pittosporum, are competing with locally indigenous species such as wooly tea tree for resources like sunlight and nutrients.
Volunteers will have the chance to learn about these plants and what the best method is to treat them.
The reserve is also home to an amazing array of animals and birds. So if you would like a day out to learn new things an meet like minded people, join up!
Volunteers need to bring:
Drinking water, sturdy footwear with long socks and lunch. Safety equipment such as gloves, glasses and broad brimmed hat can be supplied if needed.
