Nestled in the heart of Mackay is the beautiful Kommo Toera Trail. It is a Melaleuca forest, seasonal wetland, and is home to a diverse array of plants and animals. Unfortunately, this area is under threat by invasive weeds. These weeds can change the environment enough that our native plants and animals fail to thrive.
We are looking for people passionate about making a difference in the environment and able to lend a hand as we rehabilitate this beautiful area.
Come help us restore this vital habitat!
