Join CVA as we work with Greening Australia to water a planting of a threatened species of Casuarina that is being established at Coolum. The goal of this project is to provide follow up care to ensure that the planted saplings establish as mature plants. Volunteers will also be collecting soil moisture data and recording sapling survival rates and observations.

You will learn about plant identification from experienced supervisors through weeding and watering activities and have the unique opportunity to gain valuable field experience in a small team of 2 - 4 people.

This project is a great way to network and gain hands on skills for a career in conservation while making a real difference to our environment. Due to the sensitivity of this site numbers are restricted to a maximum of 3 volunteers, so bookings are essential to secure your place.

Remember to wear long pants, a long sleeved shirt, enclosed shoes, a hat, sunglasses and please bring your lunch and plenty of water.

CVA Brisbane now has a scheme ID with Containers for Change QLD! You can choose to donate to CVA directly via our scheme ID C10181048 when returning containers at any refund point or you can leave your empties at our office at 333 Bennetts Road, Morningside and we will take them in for you!
