Launceston is blessed with over 50 parks and reserves including the famous Cataract Gorge. Our team will be enhancing the native vegetation to maintain habitat for species such as pademelons and endemic birds. We will be concentrating on watering the native seedlings that were planted recently and removing invasive weeds Cataract Gorge. Enjoy being part of the team that keeps Launceston’s native areas healthy.
We will provide transport from Launceston, departing at 8:00am and returning around 3:00pm. Or if you live local you can meet on-site by prior arrangement.
What to wear:
- Long pants and long sleeved shirt
- Sturdy, enclosed shoes
What to bring:
- Morning tea, lunch and bottle of water
- Broad brimmed hat and wet weather gear (if needed)
What is provided:
- Tools and safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, sunscreen etc
- Tea, Coffee and Biscuits are provided each day
- Pick up and drop off as detailed above
