Join us for a day of community conservation mahi at Glenside Reserve. We’d love to have your help maintaining this site by releasing weeds from native rakau that were planted from previous years. We will also be removing some more robust invasive species like blackberry, to make way for more native trees this coming winter.

The Glenside Reserve consists of three areas of land. The largest reserve area is beside Monterey and Twigland Gardeners World. It is where the Halfway House and Newlands/Paparangi Pony Club are. The community goal for the Glenside reserves is to protect, enhance and promote them as community assets.

Wellington City Council prepared a draft Northern Reserves Management Plan for consultation in 2008. The Glenside Progressive Assn. made submissions to this plan. The Halfway House is on the main Glenside Reserve.

What to wear/bring: sturdy boots or gumboots, long sleeves and pants, waterproof jacket, a hat/beanie, a drink bottle and some food.

What we provide: gloves, tools, high-vis vests, health & safety briefings, an experienced team leader and training.

Free transport to and from Wellington City Centre is available (contact us to arrange a pick-up).
