Flood Fencing - Marathon Estate
Deddington 7212, Tas

Location:
Deddington 7212, Tas
Departs from:
The Elm Tree Café. Corner of St Johns St and Cimitiere St
Departure time:
8am

Deddington is a tiny Tasmanian town made famous by the artist John Glover because in 1832 he acquired one of the largest grants of land in Van Diemen's Land at the time at Mills Plains, Deddington. Many of the Glover art pieces are from around this region.

Our project follows on from the fencing that we completed after the 2016 Launceston Floods but this time we are on the Nile River at "Marathon Estate". The Marathon property has an environmental covenant on it and is surrounded by river and native vegetation going up into the hills.

No fencing experience is required for this project as we have tasks suitable to all levels but we would love to fill the bus and deliver a great CVA product, so come and lend a hand. Our previous fencing projects were rewarding and great fun so dont miss this new adventure.

We will provide transport from Launceston, departing at 8:00am and returning in the late afternoon. Or if you live local you can meet on-site by prior arrangement.
