This project will focus on weed removal and mapping in the East Risdon State Reserve (ERSR) on the banks of the Derwent, which has significant environmental assets including; a saltmarsh community, list as vulnerable under the EPBC Act 1999 as well as vulnerable and threatened plant species including Eucalyptus Morrisbyi, currently listed as endangered.
Unfortunately there has been limited research into the extent of the weed problem at ERSR; however, there has been over 15 invasive weeds identified onsite. We'll be doing our part, by both removing weeds and map the weeds in the area; which will assist with future management of this site.
