Located at the mouth of the Wellington Harbour, the Seatoun and Worser Bay dune systems are examples of the unique Wellington coastline. Set on the edge of the Cook Strait and framed by rocky outcrops, the native plants and grasses provide vital habitat for little blue penguins as they move onto the land to nest.
On this day we'll work through the dunes removing weed plants to improve the habitat for native plants and animals. Come and join in, help protect this amazing landscape, we'd love your help!
