Help to restore Wellington's unique coastline. Tarakena Bay, situated between Lyall Bay and Seatoun, is home to the world's smallest penguin, kororÄ or little blue penguin. Join our volunteers for a day restoring this precious habitat. Help is needed with removing invasive weeds that destabilise the dunes.
We provide: an experienced team leader, tools, gloves, health and safety management, and training. Free transport available - get in touch to book a seat as places are limited!
What to wear/bring: sturdy boots, long sleeves and pants, a hat/beanie, waterproof jacket, water bottle, lunch, and snacks.
