In partnership with Christchurch City Council, as part of the Rotary Forests of Peace and Remembrance, in the Dallington Landing site, CVNZ volunteers are helping to create a forest in Christchurch's red zone. We'll be planting around 40,000 different trees, shrubs and grasses to increase biodiversity and recreate a forest-type environment.
Come along and help create this forest in the red zone.
Timing: 10am-12pm
To access the site, turn off River Rd into Dallington Terrace. Parking is through the gate alongside the river. Bike parking is even closer!
Bring: Your own gardening gloves, sturdy boots or shoes, a water bottle and sunhat. As part of our health and safety requirements, CVNZ requires volunteers to wear long sleeves and trousers as protection from the sun and vegetation.
We’ll supply tools, but you are welcome to bring your own spade.
We'd love to see you there, so please register below - registrations are essential as this event is limited to 100 participants. Contact Donna (dlusby@cvnz.org.nz) 021 457 568 for more information.
COVID-19: We will be following the advice from government and local council on all Covid-19 restrictions.
