In partnership with Christchurch City Council, as part of the Rotary Forests of Peace and Remembrance, in the Dallington Landing site, CVNZ volunteers are helping to create a forest in Christchurch's red zone. We'll be planting around 40,000 different trees, shrubs and grasses to increase biodiversity and recreate a forest-type environment.
Come along and help create this forest in the red zone.
Weekend Plantings: 10am-1pm
Weekday plantings: 9:30am-12:30pm
To access the site, turn off River Rd into Dallington Terrace. Parking is through the gate alongside the river. Bike parking is even closer! Alternatively there is parking on Gayhurst Road. Look out for the CVNZ flag next to the gate.
