In partnership with Christchurch City Council, as part of the Rotary Forests of Peace and Remembrance, in the Dallington Landing site, CVNZ volunteers are helping to create a forest in Christchurch's red zone. We'll be planting around 40,000 different trees, shrubs and grasses to increase biodiversity and recreate a forest-type environment.
Come along and help create this forest at the first community planting day.
The planting will take place from 1-3pm and will be followed by a BBQ.
We'll provide tools and team leaders. You'll need to bring gardening gloves, a water bottle and wear sturdy footwear.
