- Departs from:
- Dallington Landing, Dallington Terrace Drive to the end of Dallington Terrace from River Road. Parking is through the locked gate alongside the river.
- Departure time:
In partnership with Christchurch City Council, as part of the Rotary Forests of Peace and Remembrance, in the Dallington Landing site, CVNZ volunteers are helping to create a forest in Christchurch's red zone. We'll be planting around 40,000 different trees, shrubs and grasses to increase biodiversity and recreate a forest-type environment.
Come along and help create this forest in the red zone.
To access the site, turn off River Rd into Dallington Terrace. Parking is through the gate alongside the river. Bike parking is even closer!
You'll need to bring gardening gloves, a water bottle, snacks and wear sturdy footwear. Bring your own spade for planting if you have one.
We'd love to see you there, so please register below, or contact Donna (firstname.lastname@example.org) 021 457 568 to let us know you're coming.
We will be following the advice from government and local council on all Covid-19 restrictions.
This project will go ahead in Alert Level 2 with a maximum of 100 volunteers. Registrations are essential.
