Farmers play an important role not just in feeding us, but also in improving biodiversity and creating safe havens for local wildlife. On this project in the north west, we'll be spending 2 days assisting a local farmer to revegetate the banks of a waterway on his property to provide habitat for local wildlife and create a shelter belt for his livestock and crops.
We will provide transport from Launceston, departing at 8:00am and returning around 4:00pm. Or if you live local you can meet on-site by prior arrangement.
What to wear:
- Long pants and long sleeved shirt
- Sturdy, enclosed shoes
What to bring:
- Morning tea, lunch and bottle of water
- Broad brimmed hat and wet weather gear (if needed)
What is provided:
- Tools and safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, sunscreen etc
- Tea, Coffee and Biscuits are provided each day
- Pick up and drop off as detailed above
