In partnership with the City of Port Phillip, dedicated volunteers from Conservation Volunteers Australia help plant native trees at a number of local reserves and parks every year. Point Ormond Reserve on the Elwood Foreshore is one of our focus sites with an impressive diversity of native coastal vegetation. The area is a popular setting for recreational activities and coffee goers with close proximity to St Kilda and a great view of Port Phillip Bay. Many parks and reserves within the City of Port Phillip are located relatively in an urbanised area but they all function as important habitat and breeding grounds for many native birds and animals.

The focus of this project will include hand weeding and litter collection to increase habitat biodiversity within the City of Port Phillip.
