Help preserve the bush behind Cranebook Wetlands - known as Mountain View Reserve, this patch of bush is part of a critically endangered eco-system, and is under threat from invasive weeds choking out native plants.

Listen to frogs and watch birds fly in for breakfast - all while contributing to making this wetland and the surrounding bush a welcoming, healthy place for native wildlife.

When: Meet onsite at 9:30am Olive Lane, Cranebrook or pick up from Penrith Station at 9:00am. The rescue event will wrap up at 2:00 pm.

What to bring: You'll need to wear sturdy boots or closed in shoes, long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and a hat. A delicious morning tea will be provided so you can share a cuppa with local ecologists who will share their passion for these unique ecosystems.

  • This is a free event open to everyone in the Penrith region.
  • Children must be 7 years or older and be accompanied by an adult.
