Help restore habitat for Australia's rarest butterfly!

You'll be joining a passionate ecologist and a bunch of local volunteers. Free cabin accommodation is provided at the Black Gold Cabins in Wallerawang if you are staying for the week. There is a daily fee of $40 to cover the cost of basic food and transport. There are restaurants in Wallerewang and a great pub if you wish to supplement with eating out. Field activities will commence Monday afternoon, followed by three days in the field - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and end on Friday lunch, returning to Penrith in the pm.
Restoration work will include planting of food species for the butterfly's, removal of invasive plant species, clearing around previous plantings and surveying of the Purple Copper Wing Butterfy.
Pick up from CVA's Penrith Office is provided and will take you to Sunny Corner near Bathurst. No experience needed - all are welcome to volunteer. If you are local and want to pop in and help out then please phone Lucy on 02 4721 4625 OR 0404 828 911 or email her on lhaynes@cva.org.au
