Join us from 14–22 September to celebrate Conservation Week 2019! With more than 4,000 species threatened or at risk, nature needs us to take action now.
Join our Conservation Volunteers team and learn about our native freshwater fish. Help to protect their habitat by removing litter from the stream in Bothamley Park. Staff from Mountains to Sea will be on hand to answer all your questions about our weird and wonderful native fish!
We provide: an experienced team leader, tools, gloves, health and safety management and training. Free transport available - get in touch to book a seat as places are limited!
What to wear/bring: sturdy boots, long sleeves and pants, a hat/beanie, waterproof jacket, water bottle and food.
Nature needs you this Conservation Week 2019!

Conservation Volunteers New Zealand is New Zealand's leading conservation volunteer organisation, founded in 2006. We offer conservation programs across New Zealand which enable volunteers to protect, preserve and restore the environment. Projects take place in urban, regional and remote areas, and include tree planting, seed collection, weed control, flora and fauna surveys, building tracks and trails, fencing, and heritage restoration. See below for details of one of our conservation projects, or search for projects near you.
