Conservation Volunteers Australia is a not-for-profit, a-political, independent and community-based conservation organisation. Established in 1982, today CVA is recognised as Australasia’s leading practical conservation group, managing community involvement in approximately 2,000 priority conservation projects each year. Every year we engage over 12,500 volunteers in practical activities that benefit the environment. Practical conservation activities our teams undertake include tree planting, invasive weed control, wildlife surveying to assist with threatened species management, track and boardwalk restoration, native seed collection, signage and interpretation, erosion and salinity control, flora and fauna monitoring and installing conservation fencing to protect vulnerable areas.
