Join us in the City of Fremantle in the City's only bush forever park or on beautiful South Beach. See further below for dates and locations.
Sir Frederick Samson Park is located in Samson, opposite the Samson Recreation Centre. Sir Frederick Samson Park is the largest bush reserve in the City of Fremantle and is the City's only bush forever park. The nature trails wind through the park, amongst the beautiful jarrah, marri and tuart trees, and other nature plants. The park also provides habitat to over 50 bird species, reptiles and bats. Come along and help us spread mulch and assist with fencing a section of the bushland in preparation for planting later in the season. Hand weeding and seed collection may also be undertaken if time allows.
South Beach is one of the few remaining coastal reserves and is under threat from weed invasion and vegetation degradation from erosion and uncontrolled access. Join with our volunteer team to assist in dune brushing activities while enjoying the superb views of Rottnest, Carnac, and Garden islands.
Monday 16 April - South Fremantle Beach
Tuesday 17 April - Sir Frederick Samson Park
