Make a positive difference to your local stream!
Conservation Volunteers New Zealand, the ÅrÄkei and the WaitematÄ Local Boards are working together with local communities to restore the Newmarket stream. The restoration efforts include getting rid of invasive weeds and replanting the stream banks with native plants. A natural, clean and beautiful stream environment is good for native wildlife supporting water quality and creating pleasant spaces for people to enjoy.
Conservation Volunteers experienced team leaders guide the programme and aim to teach volunteers about all aspects of conservation, including plant identification and planting techniques.
Join our community weeding day, bring all the family and share a delicious morning tea.
