With help from MPI’s Matariki Tu Rakau fund, we are planting 20,000 native plants in the Åwhiro stream catchment between 2022 and 2024 in an effort to clean up the stream which feeds the Taputeranga marine reserve.
Join us in regenerating these areas with native rakau which will help stabilize the bank and filter the stream which flows into Taputeranga marine reserve. Special thanks to our sponsor, One Tree Planted, for supporting this important project.
What to wear/bring: Sturdy boots are essential, please bring eye protection/glasses, long sleeves, and long trousers. Ensure you pack warm clothes such as a beanie, jumper and a rain jacket to protect you against wind and rain. Bring a full water bottle and snacks!
What we provide: fully trained team leader/s, gloves, tools and training.
NO tranpsort available for any of our planting days. Please meet our team onsite at the time/s provided in your booking.
