Coochiemudlo Island forms part of an important environmental network within the RAMSAR listed Moreton Bay and provides habitat for a variety of native terrestrial and marine flora and fauna and contains significant cultural heritage values. Despite ongoing weed control programs, pest plants still remain a widespread problem.

Partnering with Coochiemudlo Bushcare and Redland City Council, CVA will remove weed infestations from 1km of coastline and replace them with native plant species to prevent weeds from re-establishing. This project is a great way to network and gain hands on skills for a career in conservation while making a real difference to our environment.
