We are celebrating National Biodiversity Month.
Come and learn about biodiversity in your garden! Conservation Volunteers will be holding an info session in the Hawkins Biodiversity Garden, followed by a talk on creating biodiversity in your garden. Come and learn about what wildlife you can attract to a garden full of indigenous plants.
Conservation Volunteers are promoting biodiversity this month through raising awareness on how our community can have attractive gardens with a balanced ecosystem for all animals including bird, butterflies and frogs. Plant species included in the Hawkins garden are sustain-able and low maintenance indigenous plants and have lots of colour with flowers all year round.
This session is for anyone who is interested in the activities of Conservation Volunteers, so please come and meet us and find out more about volunteering on our future projects, with opportunities to join teams locally, around Australia and overseas.
There will be a Native Plant Raffle held for those who have booked prior to the day. The talk and visit will last about an hour.

Conservation Volunteers Australia is Australasia's leading conservation volunteer organisation, founded in 1982. We offer conservation programs across Australia which enable volunteers to protect, preserve and restore the Australian environment. Projects take place in urban, regional and remote areas, and include tree planting, seed collection, weed control, flora and fauna surveys, building tracks and trails, fencing, and heritage restoration. See below for details of one of our conservation projects, or search for projects near you.
