In 2019 CVNZ helped the Cass Bay Residents' Association with planting in the Steadfast Stream area above Cass Bay. The planting was done with support from Whaka-Ora Healthy Harbour and is designed to help reduce sediment flowing into the harbour. Come along and join in at this community planting with the Residents Association.

Join us for a morning at Steadfast Stream as we work on this project that is managed by the Cass Bay Residents Association. Tasks will include releasing and removing pest plants. Note that the site is steep.

We'll be there from 9:30am-12:30 but you're welcome to come for as much or as little time as you'd like.

Meet at 9:30am in the Steadfast Stream carpark. Extra parking is across Governors Bay Road.

Bring your own gardening gloves, sturdy boots or shoes and a water bottle. Please wear long sleeves and pants for protection from long grass and gorse etc.

Registrations for this project are essential to ensure we have enough tools. Please contact team leader Katie on the morning if you cannot find the group - 021 832 637. Any questions contact us at christchurch@cvnz.org.nz or 021 832 637

COVID-19: We will be following the advice from government and local council on all Covid-19 restrictions.
