Brownhill Creek Conservation Park is a protected area only a few kilometres outside of the city centre.  The creek valley is a natural wildlife corridor for over 40 species of birds and mammals. Permanent residents include kookaburras, bats, possums, water rats, frogs and the occasional koala. The park also provides habitat for the nationally endangered southern brown bandicoot. The project will focus on achieving specific outcomes related to habitat health for the bandicoot. The project is unique in implementing a form of restoration never tried in bandicoot habitat restoration known as Myco-Restoration.

The project will also incorporate setting up Bandicoot Bungalows to assit with protecting the Bandicoots and allowing them access to habitat through creating corridors
