Boral day at Mandama Primary School - BORAL EMPLOYEES ONLY
Boral supports Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) and school communities through the Connected Communities Program which aims to educate and inspire young Australians to take action for the future of their environment.
Mandama Primary School in Grovedale has a large landscaped grounds, including native garden beds and a vegetable garden. They are wanting to eventually expand the garden into a ‘food forest’ which is a system of gardening using plants that compliment and support each other, minimising weeds, pests and need for lots of maintenance.
The focus of this project will be weeding and mulching the existing vegetable garden, as well as assisting with other activities in there on the day. There will also be some mulching of the native garden beds around the school.
