Make new friends at the beach, clean-up and the bushland and help protect turtle habitat. Blacks Beach is an important buffer between the urban zone and foreshore, dunal zone, which has the highest recorded nesting beach in the Mackay Whitsunday region for the Flat Back Marine Turtle. (Mackay Whitsunday being one of four mainland land zones with significant nesting population of the Flat Back Marine Turtle). Join CVA Mackay at the Blacks Beach spit and help clean up the bush and learn more about the unique species that make this area home.
